The fund is a partnership between philanthropic organizations and private foundations intended to support Western and Central Mass farms impacted by recent flooding and rain and strengthen farm resiliency with an eye towards future climate impacts. Give to this fund here.

Donate to CISA’s Emergency Farm Fund
CISA’s Emergency Farm Fund provides no-interest loans to farms in the wake of extreme weather events, The Fund is currently accepting applications for loans up to $25,000 for farms impacted by the July flooding and rain or the damaging freezes earlier this year. Donate to the Fund here.

Give directly to impacted farms
Farms throughout the region suffered serious losses, and some of the impacted farms have set up fundraisers. You can help them weather this disaster by donating directly to them.

• Natural Roots Farm, Conway
• Mountain View Farm, Easthampton
• Pepin Farm, Easthampton
• Community Care Apothecary, Florence 
• Song Sparrow Farm, Florence
• Stone Soup Farm, Hadley
• New Community Farming Cooperative, a Somali Bantu farming group from greater Springfield farming in Hadley and Florence.
• Grow Food Northampton Community Farm Flood Relief Fund is also fundraising on behalf of the 10 farms located at the Grow Food Northampton Community Farm in Florence.
• World Farmers’ Flats Mentor Farm, while located in Lancaster, MA, is farmed by immigrant and refugee farmers who sell fresh produce to many communities in Springfield and Holyoke.

Help other farms impacted by climate change & extreme weather

Erratic rainfall and erratic temperatures will both increase as our climate in New England shifts. Local fruit farms affected by the last weather disaster — the late May freeze — are also asking for help to continue farming and build resilience.
